He has taken me up into the Green Listening and given me an Amulet of the Green Listening to quiet my head enough to hear the wood. He has grown it -- not carved, grown -- into the Staff of the Breathing World: pale mallorn with the dark seed set fast in the head, the grain still creeping slowly around it. Nothing greater is woken in it yet. I have walked the first of the Green Listening.
