Staff of Elder Days
Black lebethron, banded at both ends, with the shard of sea-glass set flush into the head and the seam sanded down until you can only find it with a fingernail. It hums very slightly and always has, and Erendis was careful to say that this is the staff doing nothing at all. What is in the wood is not power lent to you; it is your own, admitted to. It answers to the elder blood and to nothing else.
