Notched Captain's Shard
The notched, broken blade of a captain who fell holding a ford against the shadow. Little more than a hilt and a hand-span of shattered steel now -- but Hallas the Shieldwarden believes it can be made whole again by a hand that has earned the making. Broken though it is, the shard still bites: keen enough to draw a wound that keeps bleeding, and quick in the hand, though its shortened edge lands light blows. Only a fighter's grip can turn it true. Bear it until you have grown into a captain's years, and Hallas will see it reforged.
