Sigil of the Fallen
A flat disc of iron burned black on a plain dark chain, cold to the touch, its face stamped with a broken circle -- the mark the old orders give the fallen, so that others may know a Blackguard at a distance and set their backs to the wall. Halmir the Grey gave it over when the Brand of the Fall was laid in his hand: the token of those who broke a bright oath and swore a darker one, and did not flinch from the price. It does not glory in the fall. It only remembers it.
